Testing Schedule: The Windsor-Essex County Health Unit (WECHU) tests local public beaches every week during the summer (June through September). Water samples are typically collected on Wednesdays and results are published on Fridays.

What is E. coli? Escherichia coli (E. coli) is a bacteria used as an indicator of fecal contamination. High levels of E. coli increase the risk of ear, nose, and throat infections, as well as stomach illnesses if the water is swallowed.

Disclaimer: This is an unofficial, community-built tracker. Water quality can change rapidly due to heavy rainfall, high winds, or large flocks of birds. Even if a beach is marked "Safe", always swim at your own risk. This tool is not affiliated with WECHU or the municipalities.
